There are suggestions that West Ham have sounded out ex-FC Porto boss Sergio Conceicao as an alternative, while former backroom member Edin Terzic is also a potential replacement for Lopetegui.

Amid these claims, a report by Football Insider has shared just how the West Ham board are now feeling about Lopetegui after a lacklustre start to the campaign.

It is believed that Hammers chiefs are growing very impatient, and there is now a feeling that they could relieve Lopetegui of his duties at any moment, as the situation becomes quite volatile.

Pressure is believed to be mounting even further, and as we’ve seen with Erik ten Hag recently, no manager is safe in this division if results continue to take a downward trajectory and players fail to perform.

The Athletic reporter Roshane Thomas is another figure who thinks Lopetegui’s time should be up, urging technical director Tim Steidten to cut his losses on the tactician.

“I don’t think Lopetegui is capable of turning this around,” wrote Thomas on X.

“He was the wrong appointment. This team has regressed, has no identity, the players look despondent and the formation/tactics are questionable.

“Lopetegui wants fans to reserve judgement until May, but there is little encouragement that things will improve. He keeps persisting with out of form Rodriguez, Summerville brought off early again and another game with a different formation. I could go on all day.”

Reports from Spain claim that Ruben Amorim has personally recommended Manchester United join the race to sign Benfica talent Tomas Araujo.

The defender is well known to Premier League clubs; Crystal Palace saw a summer offer rejected for his services, while Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are “in love” with the Portuguese defender, who they were willing to bid for in the summer only for Benfica to inform them that he wasn’t for sale.

With the futures of Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof all unclear beyond this summer, United will likely be back in the market for another defender soon, and could do far worse than Araujo.

He was dubbed “potentially one of the best CBs” by football scouting account DanielScouting on X, who added: “He’s a technical maestro. His turns, dribbling, manipulation, & passing make you think he’s a CM,” and claimed he was already an “elite player”.

After their win against Villa in midweek, Palace suffered several blows as Glasner revealed that Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton, and Jefferson Lerma were all injured and are going to be out until after the November international break.

O grande mérito do Timão no primeiro tempo foi o repertório ofensivo. A equipe conseguia agredir o Santos por dentro, pelo alto, e principalmente pelos lados. Com a movimentação de Róger Guedes, saindo do centro para as beiradas, a equipe realizava com facilidade e agilidade as triangulações e tabelas, abrindo a defesa adversária.

Os gols de Mantuan e Giuliano na primeira etapa exemplificaram como a troca de passes era efetiva e o Corinthians conseguia facilmente envolver o rival.

Não bastasse os dois gols de vantagem nos primeiros 45 minutos, Raul Gustavo deixou a vantagem ainda mais confortável antes do intervalo com um belo gol de cabeça após cruzamento na medida de Willian.
