According to journalist Rudi Galetti, the Blues are "monitoring" RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, with the 20-year-old scoring 12 goals in all competitions this season.
The Slovenian international has a £43m release clause in his contract, which has caught the attention of Chelsea, Arsenal and Napoli – should Osimhen depart the Italian side.
Sesko only joined the Bundesliga team from sister club RB Salzburg back in July 2023, after scoring 29 times in 79 games for the Austrian outfit.
In his first full season in one of Europe's top five leagues, the youngster has done an admirable job given his tender age – prompting interest from the aforementioned sides.
He's a clinical goalscorer with a great eye for goal, with the Blues potentially needing to prioritise a deal for the Leipzig man given his impressive debut season in Germany.

Whilst the Nigerian has scored four more league goals than Sesko during the current campaign, that's the only aspect of his game he has outperformed the 20-year-old, with Sesko dominating in all-round play.
Despite scoring more goals, Osimhen trails the Slovenian for his conversion rate, with Napoli's talisman only converting 24% of his chances compared to Sesko's tally of 28%, as per Squawka.

The youngster also boasts a higher shot-on-target accuracy rate, with his tally 62% more accurate than Osimhen's 57% despite the 25-year-old's better goalscoring record.
Notwithstanding the fact the 20-year-old is more of an aerial threat, as demonstrated by his tally of 56% aerial duels won, he's also dominated the Nigerian with the ball at his feet, completing 5% more of the take-ons he's attempted this season.

As represented in the table, Leipzig's striker has been caught offside 20 times less than Osimhen – demonstrating that the youngster is more aware of his surroundings in comparison to the proven goalscorer.
Given the five-year age gap and £70m difference in price tag, Chelsea should look to pursue a move for the Leipzig forward, with Sesko able to offer much more than the Napoli striker in terms of his all-round play. Just think about his frightening pace too; he really is the complete package.

The captain Craig Ervine had a lot to be happy about, though in the end he only felt relief.”We’ve been in good positions before and we have let it slip,” Ervine said at the post-match press conference. “So, you know, in this case, we get into a good position, we want to drive the advantage home, and fortunately we do that. And at least it gives you the impetus the next time around, you know, how did you do it? And it’s something that you can put in your pocket to remember for the next time. It’s only as we enter December that Ampadu – a crucial member of this Leeds side – is working his way back to fitness. Farke confirmed the news, telling reporters as relayed by Leeds Live: “Ethan is back in full team training since this week and he looks good. He can handle the load.
“Normally when a player is out for such a long time, the first time the player is back in the squad after two or three weeks you would say he needs that two or three weeks of team training until he can come on.
“He’s ahead of schedule being back in team training and this is testament to his professional and good work. he was also desperate to come back as soon as possible. We still will be a bit careful, but for us and for me, he is not a normal player. He is our captain and the most important player in the whole squad and for that I am tempted to bring him in a little bit earlier instead of waiting two or three weeks.”
Just as Ampadu returns, however, the Whites have seemingly been dealt a further blow. According to BBC Sport’s Adam Pope, Junior Firpo is now a doubt to face Derby after a training ground injury and could miss this weekend’s game alongside Sam Byram, who is also unavailable.

Dubbed a “leader” by Farke at the start of the season, Firpo is in the middle of a fairly frustrating spell after missing three games prior to his return in a shock defeat against Blackburn and now potentially sidelined once again ahead of the Derby game. An important player at Elland Road, the left-back will hope to finally get a run of games under his belt throughout the festive fixtures.
Just three points adrift of leaders Sheffield United and sitting third in the Championship, the coming weeks could quickly leave the Whites on course for automatic promotion if results go their way. Kane Richardson will play county cricket for the first time in 2023 after signing a contract with Kent for the duration of the T20 Blast.Richardson, the death-overs specialist who has been a regular feature of Australia’s white-ball squads, played English domestic cricket for the first time last summer, taking 13 wickets for Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred.He has not registered for the upcoming IPL auction, having been part of the competition in previous seasons, which means he will be available for the duration of the Blast, including the knockout stages.Kent were Blast champions in 2021 but struggled badly in their title defence last summer, winning only three of their 14 group-stage games.
